LeBron James has been a victim of hatred from many of the divided NBA fans. Skip Bayless is a well known sports personality who currently hosts his own show on FS1 and intensified the LeBron bashing campaign with a single tweet which mislead NBA fans.

Considering most of LeBron James’ opponents are still active in the NBA, of course Michael faced more hall of fame basketball talent in the Eastern Conference playoff series. However, based on past inductees and our current understanding of the process, I believe we can figure out who are the potential Hall of Fame players that LeBron has faced. After digging in, I will list the potential Hall of Famers that LeBron has faced in the Eastern Conference playoffs. (Note: I fully understand that you will dispute these Hall of Famers, what age they were when LeBron faced them, etc… This article is simply arguing Skip Bayless’ ridiculous tweet which simply listed the number of Hall of Famers, not at what age or how separated they were).

Starting with the guaranteed Hall of Famers:

Guaranteed Hall of Famers:

  1. Chauncey Billups
  2. Paul Pierce
  3. Kevin Garnett
  4. Ray Allen
  5. Caron Butler
  6. Vince Carter
  7. Jason Kidd
  8. Richard Jefferson
  9. Al Horford
  10. Joe Johnson
  11. Dwight Howard
  12. Rishard Lewis
  13. Andre Iguodala
  14. Jermaine O’Neal
  15. Shaquille O’Neal
  16. Carmelo Anthony
  17. Baron Davis
  18. David West
  19. Paul Milsap
  20. Pau Gasol

And now the disputed list of potential Hall of Famers based on how their careers play out/ how the NBA evaluates

Potential Hall of Famers:

21. Ben Wallace
22. Rasheed Wallace
23. Richard Hamilton
24. Tayshaun Prince
25. Rajon Rondo
26. Carlos Boozer
27. Antawn Jamison
28. Marcin Gortat
29. Derrick Rose
30. Jimmy Butler
31. Tyson Chandler
32. Amar’e Stoudemire
33. Paul George
34. Kemba Walker
35. Brook Lopez
36. Isaiah Thomas
37. Kyle Lowry
38. DeMar DeRozan
39. Serge Ibaka
40. John Wall (If Washington Wins)
41. Avery Bradley

Notable Players: Andre Drummond, JJ Reddick, Jeff Teague< Dennis Schroder, Monta Ellis, Shaun Livingston, P.J Brown, Mike Bibby, Josh Smith, Rafer Alston, Carlos Boozer, Gilbert Arenas, Kyle Korver, Danny Granger, Leandro barbosa, George Hill, Myles Turner, Antonio McDyess…

It is also worth noting that LeBron James is still playing at a high level. It is still probable that he will face the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo, John Wall, Bradley Beal, Jabari Parker, and the many other young upcoming talent. While the list of a few Hall of Fame potential names are debatable, the gap between Jordan’s 39 Hall of Famer opponents and LeBron’s are not enough to justify Skip’s ridiculous tweet.

The great ones are hated most.
