I know what you’re thinking. You’re definitely thinking its the Great Kendrick Perkins. Well, I’m here to inform you… Okay, I admit… I’m here to shock you! The most clutch player in the NBA is not Kendrick Perkins. I know, I know, you’re wondering what kind of drugs I’m on. Other than my asthma medication I guarantee you I’m completely sober. However, once again, the answer is not Kendrick Perkins. The most clutch player in the NBA is Mr. Clutch himself, Swaggy P Nick Young!!!!
I’m just kidding. Allow me to take a couple puffs from my inhaler and get serious with you guys.
Growing up, my friends and I would refuse to dunk any trash. We’d always shoot it from a distance and shout, “Kobe”. It is well documented how clutch Kobe is. We’ve had the privilege of witnessing the greatest clutch passer in the League, Paul Pierce. We’ve had the honor of seeing LeBron develop into a clutch player. We’ve also seen Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, and Steph Curry hit game winner after game winner.
Who’s the NBA’s least clutch star? James Harden. Don’t argue with me, I’ll show you how many times he clanks it in the clutch. I still remember Chandler Parsons hitting a clutch shot after James missed repeatedly vs the Lakers.
The most clutch player in the NBA is: Portland Trailblazers point guard Damian Lillard. He’s just been a lethal assassin his whole young career, and has had no problem proving it once again this season. We all remember his shot to knock the Rockets out of the play offs. As for this season? He’s carrying his team in the fourth quarter. Sure, you might argue that Westbrook is carrying his team the whole game and not just the fourth. Well, the main difference is that Damian is winning games. A lot of respect goes out to the many talented point guards in the NBA, but this man Damian is SLEPT ON.
