Do you smell it? Do you feel it? The sizzling days of summer have passed. Mornings are crisp. Leaves are beginning to change. Football season has arrived. With that brings a new opportunity for so many people. Teams have a chance to win a Super Bowl. Players have a chance to set their families up for generations. And, for fans, well, we have a chance to make some money. That’s where our 2019 NFL picks come in, and of course, we’ll start with Week 1. However, let’s look back on how we performed last year.
In 2018, we picked the first 15 weeks of the season. Uncle Mike came out 124-84-11 against the spread. That means, that we were right on 60% of our picks last season. That was our best percentage in our three seasons of picking NFL games for Per Sources. Now, we need to ride that hot hand into the 2019 season and earn some free money.

Thursday Night Football
Green Bay Packers (+3) @ Chicago Bears (-3)
We took the Bears in the season opener on Thursday, and boy, were we disappointed. In a game that seemed to be oddly reminiscent of 1919 football on the 100th anniversary, both offenses looked rather inept. Whether it was the exceptional play of the defense from both side or some consistent struggles from Mitchell Trubisky, the game wasn’t one that garnered attention. But, we all still watched anyway. The Packers finished on top in the end, by a score of 10-3.
So, we start the year 0-1. However, we know there are better things to come with our 2019 Week 1 NFL picks.
