Week 6 was the worst week of the season thus far. It featured some surprising results and some trends that I just have to realize by now. Before we make our 2019 NFL Week 7 Picks, let’s discuss some Week 6 matchups.

The Falcons lost to the Cardinals. I believe I’ve bet the Falcons nearly every week this season, and they continue to blow it and lose us money. They’re a team that should be dominating teams like the Cardinals. With players like Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Mohamed Sanu, Calvin Ridley, Austin Hooper, and Devonta Freeman, they should be performing better. I have to realize that this isn’t the same team we saw leading up to the Super Bowl a few years ago.

San Francisco is legit. I’ve been doubting their ability all season because of their lack of offensive stars. This team is playing well, and they’ve been holding off opponents with their stellar run game and stout defense. Expect this trend to continue, but they won’t go undefeated.

The Los Angeles Chargers lost a game that they simply couldn’t lose. On Sunday night, at home, the Chargers lost to Duck Hodges and the Pittsburgh Steelers. With their THIRD STRING QB, the Steelers defeated the L.A. pretty easily despite a second-half comeback. While Hunter Henry is a welcome addition and Melvin Gordon will continue to get better, I think the time is over for the Chargers to prove that they are contenders. You can’t lose at home to a team with their third-string QB. You simply can’t do it.

Overall Record ATS: 42-48-1

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Kansas City traveled to Denver this Thursday night in an AFC West showdown. Even after the Chiefs lost the prior two weeks, I still felt comfortable with their ability to defeat a poor Broncos team. Denver’s offense, led by Joe Flacco, looks like, as Troy Aikman said, “as bad as an offense as I’ve ever seen.” That’s why it wasn’t a surprise that when Patrick Mahomes exited the game with an injury, the Broncos were unable to capitalize, continuing to give up points to Matt Moore instead.

We took the Chiefs +3.5, which was an absurd line in the first place. We’ve won three straight TNF picks after starting 0-4. Hopefully, this is the week we can finally turn it around.

This week, I’m headed to East Rutherford to watch the Patriots take on the Jets. If you’re planning on being at the game, let me know.
