Faker or Maker Game of the Week
Cowboys v. R-Words
This is a very awkward matchup. You can trust these teams as much as Urban Meyer’s text message history. The Redskins are good? Huge question mark. Alex Smith looks good? Huge question mark. That R-Words team just feels kinda iffy. Again, I don’t trust them.
That’s not to say that I trust Dallas. Dak is bad. No excuses. He’s getting carried by hype from his rookie year. You hate to see it, but this is something people should’ve seen coming. His falloff is real. Zeke looks good, but he puts up empty numbers.
Now, to the picks.
It’s a pick’em. The O/U is 42. I’ve got the R-Words running this game pretty handily. I’ll take Redskins pick, Under 42.
Actual Good Football Game of the Week
Saints v. Ravens
Here’s a game I’m super excited for. New Orleans is quite good at football, and the Ravens are also pretty good. That’s a recipe for a great game.
My breakdown of the Saints:
Drew Brees – good.
Alvin Kamara – good.
Michael Thomas – good.
Saints Defense – all-around good.
The Saints are going North on a Crusade in very Saint-like fashion. I know this game is supposed to be down to the wire, but I can’t see Baltimore containing everyone that New Orleans has. The Saints are on the top of my “Super Bowl favorites that aren’t the Patriots” list. Saints are good.
Now, to the picks.
The Ravens are -3, Saints are +115, Ravens are at -135, and the O/U is 49.
These lines make me so happy.

Murder of the Week
Rams v. 49ers
CJ Beathard has been good through his short time filling in for Jimmy Jesus. However, the Rams are a different animal. They just have too many weapons on both sides of the ball. A beaten-down 49ers team can’t hold the Rams under 35. LA has a brand new vibe since JaVale McGee joined the city in the offseason, which was LA’s best signing in a very long time. Rams by a million.
