DeAndre Hopkins Is The Best Wide Receiver In The NFL

DeAndre Hopkins best WR

DeAndre Hopkins has consistently been one of the best receivers in the NFL. Hopkins is always extremely productive no matter who his quarterback is. He’s been in the NFL for six seasons. Over the last five, the Clemson product has only missed one game. Hopkins has averaged over 70 receptions per year while maintaining an average of 1,000+ yards per year.

What really amazes me about Hopkins’ production is the fact that he’s maintained these stats with 10 different quarterbacks throwing him the ball. I know people say Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, and Odell Beckham Jr. are better, and that may be true. However, they’ve all had the same quarterback throwing them the ball throughout their entire career, for the most part. Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Ryan, and Eli Manning will likely end up in the Hall of Fame someday. Who’s the quarterback who has the most starts for the Texans over the past six seasons? BROCK OSWEILER!

The 6’1″, 215-lb receiver not only has the stats, size, athleticism, and durability, he’s also an outstanding locker room guy. That’s pretty strange for a guy who played with Andre Johnson.

Odell Beckham Jr. has made headlines for calling out Eli Manning and the New York Giants offense for not being able to throw the ball downfield. He also complained in an interview about how he’s being utilized in the offense. During games, OBJ complains and has temper tantrums on the sidelines.

Antonio Brown is a good locker room guy too but has had some slip-ups. For instance, he skipped a practice this year.

Hopkins has never had these problems. He always does his best and tries to score and contribute as much as possible, no matter the score or frustration he may have. Hopkins has had quarterbacks who are worse than Eli Manning, Matt Ryan, and Big Ben throwing him the ball, and he’s still produced outstanding numbers.

He has the stats, athleticism, and durability to be considered the best wide receiver in the NFL, and he should be.
