Everything You Can Do In NBA 2K19

Everything you can do in NBA 2k19

Let’s breakdown everything you can do in NBA 2K19, as we’re hours away from its debut. There’s a lot of aspects of the game to keep you busy and occupied for months at a time, and honestly, overall they paid more attention to detail and gave way more effort into creating the best 2K possible.

Career Mode

During the career mode you earn contracts by your play, and as a result, your stock rises depending on your teammate grade. You can negotiate a contract regarding everything from managing minutes to VC per game in a conversation with the owner. The more interest from a team, the more minutes and money you can receive.

As for the practice facility there’s no more walking through the neighborhood to get to the practice gym. It displays the gym on the menu, and it’s faster to access.

Badge progression is much faster and you won’t have to open the search bar to look for a certain badge to work on. Instead, it puts you through a set of drills that requires multiple badge requirements. Spend more time in the gym and less time worrying about ranking up!

Park/Side Activities

Along with side activities like dodgeball, football, and Slamball, there’s a daily VC wheel spin in the NBA 2K app that gives your free VC every time you log in. Every day you go to the park you get to spin a wheel for the possibility of thousands of VC per day.

As for endorsements, I found it interesting to learn that you can negotiate every angle of contracts. In other words, you can pick the in-game accomplishments to earn VC.

For example: if you’re a rebounder, and it asked you to make four threes in a game to earn a bonus, you can negotiate and switch that to a rebounding objective. It’s much easier to see all sides to an endorsement deal.

Pro-Am

Team Pro-Am is one of the most popular modes in the game and has differed 2K from NBA Live for years. They made it personal when they came out with a private matchmaking lobby that created a password to access with two different teams. We can finally settle all debates of “who is better,” and I can’t wait to expose people in this game.

With matchmaking comes builds. Everyone is concerned with what type of player to create. The power builds are anything with primary slashing and shot-creating along with defensive builds. 2K has put a lot of emphasis on defense and paint play this year. Aside from that, build what makes you comfortable, and treat it like real life.

Stick to what you know best, and the game will fall into your hands if played right. This mode is going to expose certain players who rely on cheese and animations to be good.

Stick skill will be more relevant this year, and timing is critical, especially on defense creating a 50-50 chance to stop a play. Every move matters, and if you slip on the sticks you’ll soon be put on notice and start hearing it from your teammates.

No More Walk On! I’m extremely pleased to hear this news because now they brought back the Jordan Rec Center. There will be no more lagging out of lobbies, failing to get everyone in the same neighborhood, and waiting for years to start a game. All you have to do is show up to the rec center, hop on a spot, and get a game.

MyTeam

The information I know about this game mode is scarce. I do know, however, they’re coming out with a $250K tournament to start the year off, and it’s looking rather serious. More cards and packs have been added to the arsenal along with Unlimited mode and Triple Threat mode which includes a 3v3 playground type feel.

2K drops tonight. Make sure to follow me @Jman_persources to stay updated.
