TPR’s Daily Overreaction: LeBron Rips Ass On Damian’s City

LeBron-James
(Luis Sinco / Los Angeles Times)

In case you haven’t heard, LeBron James can score the basketball. The Lakers have finally managed to beat the Portland Trail Blazers, mostly thanks to James’ 44-10-9. If you reverse that stat, you’d basically have a Rajon Rondo triple double. I could totally see Rondo having a 9-10-44 game, but I digress. LeBron James is good at basketball.

Los Angeles Lakers (8-6):

The Lakers still have the same record as the Boston Celtics which adds to me stress at night. LeBron James was a man on a mission last night. We should have expected that since it was a nationally televised game. When the bright lights are on and Seth Curry’s brother isn’t there, I fully expect King James to walk away with a win. Now, don’t get too excited Lakers fans just yet; winter is coming.

Washington Wizards (5-9):

Bradley Beal is the youngest player in NBA history to knock down 900 3’s. This must be furious to John Wall who has vowed to never miss a game due to injury ever again in his efforts to derail his teammates from ‘eating’. The Wizards have won 3 straight. John Wall has to put an end to this and I fully expect him to do so.

Minnesota Timberwolves (6-9):

I do not gamble. I most certainly do not bet on sports. However, even if I was a gambler, I would have never gone near last night’s Timberwolves Pelicans game. There were two scenarios, the Timberwolves could have collapsed without Butler & Rose; or they could try for for the first time this season and get themselves a petty victory. To be honest, we should have all known they’d get the petty victory.

Other stories:

Jimmy Butler is winless without Andrew Wiggins and Karl Anthony Towns this season. Orlando Magic are actually trying. Boston Celtics upset the Chicago Bulls. Miami Heat won a game. Dwane Casey did what he does best, help the Raptors lose. Memphis Grizzlies are not tanking. Kevin Durant and Draymond Green fighting was the best thing to happen to the Knicks all year. Utah Jazz looked last night how they were supposed to look last year. Luka Doncic is the rim protector Dallas needed. Spurs basically didn’t show up to play the Suns.
