TPR’s Daily Overreactions: The East Still Runs Through Cleveland

The Great Cedi Osman

The Cavaliers had made it to the NBA Finals for the last few years consecutively. Sure, they’ve had a couple roster changes over the summer, nothing significant. However, people had already written them off as if they didn’t have the majority of the players on their roster who helped them reach an NBA Finals last year. Ben Simmons was one of the players who wrote them off. Last night, the Cavaliers had a rude awakening for the 76ers, the East still runs through Cleveland.

The Philadelphia 76ers (13-8):

The 76ers look how they’re supposed to look, a good team that has had a lot of changing pieces recently. Developing chemistry and a three point shot can take time. They’re bound to run into struggles when facing a team like the Cleveland Cavaliers, lead by the great Cedi Osman.

The Detroit Pistons (9-7):

The Pistons have invested a lot in doing things differently than the rest of the NBA. They acquired Blake Griffin last year and made a head coach change. Things are starting to pay off for the Pistons, at least by the looks of it. Griffin is averaging 25.3 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. Unlike Kendall’s current boy toy, Griffin is also averaging 2.4 made 3 pointers per game, on almost 40% shooting. Griffin is no your traditional big man. I think the Pistons also still have a lot of room for improvement, this season.

Los Angeles Clippers (12-6):

The Clippers, also known as the best team in Los Angeles, battled it out for the first place Memphis Grizzlies last night. Let me repeat, the Clippers and Grizzlies had a battle for the West last night. The Clippers.. The Grizzlies.. What is going on with the NBA?!

Other Stories around the NBA:

The Los Angeles Lakers are looking like they’re ready to sweep the Dream Team, apparently. The Timberwolves have disrespected their best player by moving him to the bench. James Harden is still not clutch. The Boston Celtics are undefeated since Kyrie Irving told us his opinion on Thanksgiving. The Knicks have done what the Trail Blazers could never, beat the Pelicans. The Wizards are back to, “Nobody Eats”. The Pacers aren’t as good as Pacers fans think they are. The Thunder are red hot. Russell Westbrook is a lot better than Kemba Walker. I still don’t understand how y’all let Jamal Crawford end up on the Phoenix Suns . Don’t look now, but the Nuggets have won two straight. The Utah are playing the way they were supposed to last year.
