Welcome to the Thursday Pre$$.
I realized all the NFL games at once was as overwhelming as walking in on your parents, so I’ve decided to cut it down into three blogs – The Thursday Pre$$, Carver$ Call$, and Monday Ma$h. Now, let’s get it.
Tonight’s game should be a good one. We have ourselves two teams that could see each other again in the NFC championship.
The undefeated Rams are charging right now, as they’ve handily beaten down the teams they’ve gone up against. putting up 102 points and giving up only 36. Minnesota can be quite electric as well, but the Rams just seem too good.
Sean McVay is coaching with a chip on his shoulder, and the Rams have seemed to adopt this mentality. The Rams’ line is just so good. NHfshfkjhalfhakfhlksja Suh and Aaron Donald are good at football (there I said it), and there’s no line that can hold them. The Vikings might have the polar opposite of the Rams coach in Mike Zimmer, but Zimmer has proven to love the game and have a similar underdog mentality. Also, Zimmer gains many points for what he did for Daniel Carlson.
Adam Theilen, a Belichick wet dream, is on fire recently, as he’s put up 336 yards and averaging over a first down per catch. He also has one tudder to his name that he caught in Week 2. He should light up the Rams, and he’s a game changer, but I believe it’ll come up too short.
Rams QB Jared Goff has been playing well and will most likely continue to do so. The fast moving offense keeps defenses at bay and lets him take one shot deep every few plays.
Most importantly for the Rams is obviously Todd Gurley. Gurley is the best RB playing football right now and will run all over Minnesota. Gurley will have over 250 yards and two touchdowns. I expect a masssssive game from Todd.
The line is set at LA -7. This bet feels a bit high, I’d smash it if it were at -3 or -4 but something feels a bit off with this one. I think it’ll be a 6-point game or so, so I’ll be taking Vikings +7, but, LA Money. It’s no doubt that the over is going to hit at 49, two electric offenses going at two great defenses!!
