TPR’s Daily Overreaction: The Pelicans Are Better Without Anthony Davis

As the self proclaimed “pettiest man on the planet”, I love it anytime NBA teams display absolute pettiness. The New Orleans Pelicans are the definition of pettiness. With or without Davis, the Pelicans have been bringing it as of late. They are 5-5 in their last 10 and have won three straight. Jahlil Okafor is the greatest big man in Pelicans history. #FreeJah. Davis has played in limited minutes and somehow, the Pelicans have been playing better than every. Petty season.

The Los Angeles Lakers (30-34):

The Los Angeles Lakers have lost their last three games. Their latest loss came against Patrick Beverley and the better team in Los Angeles. After the game, Patrick went on to celebrate like he had just won season 69 of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”. Poor guy didn’t know he was playing against LeBron and the Lakers, which is equivalent of you beating your older cousins when you were 6. Your cousin let you score so you wouldn’t cry.

New York Knicks 13-51:

How funny would it be if the Knicks went through all the trouble of tanking and landed the third pick in the draft? Can you imagine Knicks fans trying to convince us that a random third pick is a better pick for their team than Zion Williamson? I can already see it.

Other news around the association:

The way the Suns have been playing lately, you would think that they’d have more than just one win more than the Knicks. As it turns out, Devin Booker is not done with being done missing the playoffs. Mirotic has been perfect for Milwaukee, just not last night. The Spurs remembered how to play defense for a game. Low basketball IQ fans think Isaiah Thomas is the problem with the Nuggets. Jazz fell to a trap game. Lakers stink. Clippers stink a little less than the Lakers. Nets fans disrespect Nowitzki by giving him a chanting for him like it’s his last game. Heat upset the Hawks. Wade trades jerseys with Kevin Huerter, not Rayford Young.
